Creamy Vegan Avocado Dressing

Creamy Vegan Avocado Dressing

Make the best creamy vegan dressing in minutes with this easy recipe. Perfect for salads, veggie plates, and appetizers!

Why you’ll love this Creamy Vegan Avocado Dressing:

Easy to make- Throw all the ingredients in a blender and you’ll have the best vegan dressing in minutes.

Healthy Spin- I love a thick and creamy dressing that is vegan! A lot of thicker dressings call for mayonnaise, which don’t hate on at all, but when I’m hosting vegans or dairy-free guests, this is such an awesome alternative.

Allergen Friendly- This dressing/dip is naturally dairy-free, gluten-free and vegan.

Perfect for hosting– This dressing obviously goes so well with a variety of salads but I also serve it as a dip with veggie plates or charcuterie/cheese boards! I usually like to have dairy-free or vegan option for guests when serving appetizers.

Ingredients:

Avocado- A ripe avocado is responsible for the thick and creamy texture of this delicious dressing/dip. Avocados contain healthy fats and are packed with nutrients. Learn more about the health benefits here. Pro tip: I typically buy an unripe avocado 5-7 days before I’ll need it since I can rarely find ripe avocados at the store.

Lemons- Fresh lemon juice adds the perfect amount of acidity and brightness to this creamy avocado dressing. It also keeps the avocado from oxidizing, making it possible to store in the refrigerator for a few days without browning.

Water- Water helps to thin this creamy vegan dressing and makes it easier to blend. You can adjust the amount of water to get the desired consistency as a dressing or a dip.

Tajin or chili lime spice- I love the chili lime spice from Trader Joe’s. It’s very mild and adds another layer of acidity to this vegan dressing. If you don’t have access to a Trader Joe’s, Tajin is very similar and found in most grocery stores.

Hot sauce- I like a subtle touch of heat in this dressing/dip and typically use Cholula or Tapatio. However, you can use whatever hot sauce you like, substitute it for cayanne pepper instead or omit it all together.
